Introducing: Prickly Pear Dewy Hydrating Face Oil
As part of our newly launched signature oil blends, we’d like to give you a deep dive into our Prickly Pear Dewy Hydrating Face Oil, the most revitalizing choice for dry complexions! Quench your skin’s thirst for long-lasting moisture — your oasis in a bottle.
Formulated for dry, parched skin, this aromatic blend is made with high quality, plant-based oils that deeply nourish, while leaving a refreshing scent that lingers throughout the day.
The Dewy Oil’s main benefits include:
- incredible hydration
- Reduces fine lines and wrinkles
- Evens out skin tone by fading scars and hyperpigmentation
- Soothes redness and inflammation
- Heals skin from sun damage and other environmental stressors
Who is it for?
Recommended for those with dry to combination skin. Drier complexions will find instant relief with this medium-weight, highly moisturising oil. At first, the texture feels silky and lustrous, then absorbs quickly into the skin, leaving a plump, dewy finish. If you want to level up your next makeup look, you can even use the Dewy Oil as a hydrating primer or mix a couple of drops with your foundation to add a natural “glow”.
Those looking for a versatile oil blend that can target deep moisturisation, signs of aging, uneven skin tone, and sun damage are in luck! Isn’t it freeing to be able to ditch overcomplicated skincare?
Not to mention, aromatherapy fans will also fall in love with the Dewy Oil’s delicately fragrant scent profile. The initial hit of floral sweetness comes from the essential oils of Ylang Ylang and Geranium, while the calming, herbal notes of German Chamomile and Lavender add the perfect, dreamy finish. A few drops is all you need to uplift your senses as you go about your day or even soothe you into a good night’s sleep.
As always, we strongly recommend a patch test before committing to any skincare product. Those who are sensitive to nut oils or essential oils may experience irritation. If your skin type is more prone to oiliness, the weight of this oil might be a bit too heavy for you, as it is formulated for dry, dehydrated skin.
What’s Inside?
Prickly Pear Oil contains highest sources of vitamin E. (Image: Palm Springs Life)
Prickly Pear oil is the all-star ingredient in this nourishing elixir. Along with being one of the best sources of Vitamin E compared to any other plant oil on the market, this vibrant cactus fruit is packed full of skin-plumping fatty acids and potent antioxidants. Combined with the ultra-moisturising effects of Sweet Almond Oil, Avocado Oil, and Extra Virgin Olive Oil, this blend has all you need to kiss dry, flaky skin goodbye.
Even its devine aroma gives you some insight on the healing properties of this botanical blend. German Chamomile and Lavender are both incredibly effective for combating acne bacteria and reducing inflammation, while the mix of Ylang Ylang and Geranium can help balance sebum production while also increasing skin cell turnover, leaving you with clearer and more youthful skin!
How do I use it?
After cleansing and toning, apply 3-5 drops of the Dewy Oil either directly onto the face or by warming it up in your palms. On slightly damp skin, pat the oil onto the facial area until it’s evenly distributed, and gently massage until it’s fully absorbed into your skin. You can also use our Face Roller or Gua Sha to enjoy added massage benefits and better product absorption.
Oil based serums can be used after applying the Dewy Oil, while water-based serums should be applied beforehand after toning. For AM usage, apply your sunscreen at the very end of your skincare routine.
